The Hindu Dharm Shodh Sansthan’s Policy & Vision Hub is a dedicated research and knowledge centre committed to exploring, engaging with, and advancing the principles, systems, and living traditions of Sanātana Dharma (Hindu Dharma) in the modern era. It acts as a bridge between classical Indian knowledge systems and contemporary societal, philosophical, cultural and policy challenges. Through scholarly inquiry, publication, dialogue, and policy engagement, the Sansthan seeks to deepen our understanding of Hindu thought, its structures, and its relevance to present-day India and the world.

What We Do

The Policy & Vision Hub of Hindu Dharm Shodh Sansthan serves as a centre for research, publication, and dialogue on the many dimensions of Sanatan Hindu Dharma encompassing its scriptures, philosophies, rituals, art, architecture, and living traditions.

We also act as a think and vision hub, drawing insights from traditional wisdom to inform modern education, culture, and policy frameworks.

Our initiatives include the development of white papers, policy briefs, and leadership dialogues focused on education, interfaith harmony, cultural preservation, and the future vision of Dharma-based knowledge systems.

By encouraging teamwork across different fields, partnerships between students and scholars, and strategic alliances, the policy and vision hub aims to link ancient wisdom with today's global discussions for a fair and inclusive future.

Aims & Objectives

1. Preservation and promotion of Indian knowledge systems (IKS) To systematically document, preserve and disseminate the rich heritage of Indian knowledge, from Vedic and Upaniṣadic traditions, through the śāstras, the purāṇas, through yoga, tantra, vernacular literatures and folk traditions, ensuring that these are accessible, critically studied and relevant for contemporary inquiry.
   
   To advance research and applied understanding by encouraging original, peer-reviewed studies on ancient Indian knowledge systems and traditions, covering history, philosophy, art, architecture, rituals, and cultural expressions.
2. Bridging tradition and modernity To explore how ancient wisdom and spiritual traditions of Sanātana Dharma can inform, enrich, and address modern challenges in education, ethics, society, culture, and policy while also undertaking critical, scholarly enquiry.
3. Interdisciplinary engagement and dialogue To facilitate conversation among diverse disciplines through Dharma-Karma Vimarsh dialogue circles on - philosophy, scripture studies, archaeology, literature, anthropology, sociology, mathematics, cultural studies, and public policy. To enable a holistic understanding of Sanatan Dharma and ancient traditions in contemporary contexts.
4. Publication and dissemination To publish high-quality research (in the Journal as well as other channels) and to make it widely available, and to enhance visibility of Sanatan Hindu Dharma thoughts and Indian knowledge systems in national and international academic circles.
5. Policy and vision formation To serve as a think-hub that draws on ancient knowledge and philosophical and cultural traditions to contribute to policy discourse and vision-setting for culture, education, heritage, society and governance, articulating frameworks grounded in Indian worldviews.
6. Capacity-building and scholarly community To mentor and build the next generation of scholars in Sanatan Hindu Dharma studies and Indian knowledge systems, facilitate research networks and conferences, and provide platforms for emerging researchers in these fields.
7. Cultural and ethical renewal To engage broadly with the values, ethics and worldview embedded in Sanātana Dharma - promoting reflection on how these enduring insights can contribute to individual transformation, cultural resilience, social harmony and a pluralistic yet rooted society.
